Minissha Lamba was born in Kashmir to a Punjabi family originally belong to Delhi on January 1, 1985. Since her father was in Hospitality industry, she traveled around the country, meet many people but ultimately she graduated in 2004 from Miranda House, Delhi and has English honors degree.

Like others of her ilk, she has never imagined herself becoming an actress someday though she was quite interested in modeling. In fact, she was more interested and intent to concentrate on her academic career to become a journalist and pursue modeling as her hobby.

But the fate has something different stored for her and she eventually end up becoming a successful Bollywood actress.

Career in Movie

She has the beauty and talents that is needed to become an actress. During her effort in modeling, she was offered to represent ad campaigns like LG, Sony, Cadbury, Hajmola, Airtel, Sunsilk etc. But it was the ad shoot for Cadboury that turned out to be lucky for her. She was approached by Bollywood Director, Shoojit Sircar, and signed her to act in his film Yahaan (2005). This was an unexpected offer and she heartedly accepted it and move on to acting. So she debuted in Bollywood with Yahaan.

After that, she never looked back and moved on signing great roles and making successful performance in other films too. Her other movies include Corporate, Rocky: The Rebel, Anthony Kaun Hai and Honeymoon Travels. Her upcoming movies include, Anamika, Shaurya, Dus Kahaniyaan.

Nicole Kidman takes swing at Tom Cruise

Nicole Kidman has taken a crack at her marriage with Tom Cruise and even dished out a surprising jab at Katie Holmes. Marie Claire reports:

'I felt I became a star only by association,' she complained to Easy Living magazine. 'We would go to the Oscars and I would think, "I'm here to support him." I felt it was my job to put on a beautiful dress and be seen and not heard.'
Meanwhile, Nic calls new husband Keith Urban her 'greater love', although it appears her greatest love is reserved for her daughter.
However, the Moulin Rouge actress hasn't totally lose her sense of humour, speaking about her adopted children, she quips: 'Bella is very maternal. Connor would like one of us to have a boy. [Pauses.] Katie...? [Laughs].'
