Beauty Secrets-Exposed

Photos courtesy of Thinkstock Photos

Sometimes the best beauty-secrets are kept and passed on from generation to generation, so if you want to maintain your natural beauty without too much costs, take a peek at the following beauty tips and tricks!
Women have always tried their best to maintain their natural beauty, so no wonder-that beauty secrets are usually well kept. Along time, a great-number of alternatives to surgery have been developed enabling women to look amazing without drilling a hole in their budget. Some of celebrities' most guarded beauty secrets have been exposed just so you can look and feel fabulous every single minute. Take a peek at these secrets and give-them a try.

Beauty is indeed-influenced by good genes, but if you're not caring for your skin and heath properly, the negative results brought by external factors will eventually show. The solution to looking gorgeous isn't always found at the nearest plastic surgery office, so make sure you explore alternatives before deciding to go under the knife. To make things easier, check out the following beauty secrets and give them a try so you can radiate beauty every second without-trying to hard:
  • White-eyeliner is definitely a great invention for women who need to illuminate their look, as a touch of white in the right place can do wonders. Make your eyes look bigger and create a more alert look by applying a white eyeliner (pencil) on the waterline of the lower lash line.
Celebs usually turn towards the help of white eyeliner for different events, so give this look a try, but don't apply the eyeliner heavily as thus you'll end-up with a fake, unpleasant-effect.
  • Ever-wondered why celebrities don't mind spending hundreds, even thousands of dollars on high quality silk bed-sets? The reason is that silk or satin can do wonders for your skin and hair, adding a shine and radiance to them in addition to helping to prevent wrinkles. The smooth, soft texture of these fabrics allows the skin to glide on the fabric, so you won't wake-up with those funny sleep lines that can aid early wrinkle-development.
  • Don't know-how to keep your red locks super rich and lustrous? Well, if you're not willing to spend money on expensive salon hair color enhancers, you can turn your attention towards cranberry juice. Rinse your locks with this delicious juice and finally rinse with cold water. The juice will help give your locks a boost in shine as well as help maintain the rich-color of your hair.
  • Love-plump lips, but you're not too keen on getting them injected with collagen or hyaluronic acid? If so, turn your attention towards a more natural, non-invasive treatment: peppermint extract. The cool effect of peppermint will make your lips naturally plumper as the blood vessels dilate. Apply the peppermint extract on your lips as a lipgloss using your fingers or a cotton swab and your lips will look luscious and-plumper.
  • Want that amazing-Hollywood smile, but without the costs? Well, nature provides us with everything we need to look great and strawberries are the fruits that you can turn-towards to whiten your teeth. Strange? Definitely, but apparently they work. Mix a few strawberries with baking soda (you can also use them alone) and brush your teeth a couple of time a day. The mixture will remove the stains from your teeth, leaving them looking-fabulous.
  • Olive oil can do wonders-for your skin as it is rich in nutrients, so if you want to make your skin super soft, apply a few drops or olive oil on a cotton pad and wipe your skin. Olive oil can also be used as a great makeup remover, being able to get rid of waterproof makeup as well, just make sure not to get it into your eyes. Rinse the skin-after and the results will be surprising.
Pay attention to details as they can really make a difference, so give these tips a try and see which ones satisfy your-needs completely!

As fast as possible! Don't worry I do agree that e mail and browsing has very little to do with the processor speed, still you did ask the question! Now if only I could get a fibre link to my house without it costing a few hundred thousand Pounds a year hmm

Not sure what that has to do with the price of rice in China.

The same model applies to the 'church'.

They are on the wane, and need new conscripts.

Gays are less likely to give them that.

Without any adapters and just the phone this is what Radio Shack says...
My phone was just replaced by Apple a few weeks ago. I am curious to see if the value drops as each day goes on. I don't want to be without a phone right now but that isn't a bad value being the value of them on eBay right now. Making $30-40 isn't worth the trouble on eBay. I will be trading mine in for sure.

I hope that number keeps rising; we need competition to not let Apple rest on it's laurels.

John Gruber once (correctly) stated (or maybe quoted someone else) that Apple's greatest competitor is Apple. Jobs & Co. have never been keen on flipping on the cruise control when they have a successful product (unlike, say, Microsoft).

Do you honestly believe that the XOOM is pushing Apple to do better? Please.

I'm glad that Leopard will be completely (that's what they say, at least) 64-bit. I'm not sure why it's important to go on about the applications as if they were important to the operating system itself. Increased integration like what was displayed would cause the anti-trust machine to whip into action, if it was Microsoft instead of Apple.

Time Machine is not exactly revolutionary, considering that there were a few 3rd party products available--Rewind comes to mind--that journaled changes and allowed them to be restored. Still, it should stop the various threads "I accidentally deleted..." :)

Hopefully, the features not mentioned will include a better kernel that actually performs well. It would be nice to see operating system benchmarks that don't make me cringe when I look at the Mac OS X results.

Xcode version 3.0 looks good but they still haven't provided many details.

If you read my original post, you'll notice that I was referring to the fact that many programmers are careless about optimizing their code all because they can count on a large amount of resources, and because they get lazy.

I think anyone programming above assembly language and/or on a device with more than about 16K of memory, gets lazy :)

Most Mac programmers are good at optimizing, while many Windows programmers are not.

Where does Apple's horrible iTunes for Windows fit into this myth?

    Anyone seen this?

    http://images.dailytech.com/nimage/1775_large_longtermroadmap.png

The real architecture changes are coming June then June then June 2012. With derivatives in the years between.

So Merom(Merom Santa Rosa)/Conroe/Woodcrest(Clovertown) are the end of the road of separate chips. No more mobile/desktop/sever chip... all are the same (should expect mobiles to have the lowest MHz, then desktop, then toping out with server)

And what's interesting is that each architecture change will be a leap in performance similar to Pentium D to Conroe transition. (source) (http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=2649)

Screw Tigerton, Penryn's next (probably June 2007)

Screw that, I'm not going to buy until Gesher!

If the wifi/cell tower data is being sent anonymously and encrypted to Apple, then they are not tracking you or your phone. If someone gets a hold of this unencypted information from your phone or from a backup on your computer, then there is a small potential of some harm being done. I'm happy that Apple is addessing this latter issue, but I can think of many more risky ways in which I risk identity theft, etc.

People are talking about privacy issues, but privacy is about people's personal experience. Sharing personal data, or any data remotely identifying of you, is more about confidentiality. The anonymous and encrypted nature of the data going to apple maintains confidentiality, since nobody at apples end can use it to identify you. We all carry around our personal identifying data (eg drivers license) every day, and it's our responsibility not to lose it. Same with what is on our phones. Apple should give us more control over how such data is handled on our phones, however, and I'm glad this is going to happen, whether or not the issue is a bug.

Given the change in Clovertown schedule, I expect that at WWDC Apple will release 2 "lower end" Mac Pro configurations both with dual Woodcrests. The higher end configuration with two Clovertowns will ship early Q1 (maybe around MW'07).

I expect it will be 2.33GHz and 2.67GHz Woodcrest models with 3.0GHz as a BTO option. Conroe in Mac Pro is looking highly unlikely.

Anyone care to speculate on Intel's pricing for a 2.67GHz Clovertown? I am thinking $999.Well Swami I am going to have to call your bluff. Makes no sense to skip Conroe Dual Cores on the Mac Pro yet. This Winter 2007 with Clovertowns, perhaps post MacWorld SF. But not yet. And maybe not ever.

There are some who may never find a need for more than two cores. But therein creeps back the need for a cheaper dual core tower line in the same price range as the iMacs. Seems inevitable doesn't it? Expand the Tower line down to $999 and let it go all the way up to $3.5k. Six models instead of only 3 expensive ones.

    January - March 2007

    ..$999 - Dual 2.13 GHz One Conroe
    $1399 - Dual 2.4 GHz One Conroe
    $1699 - Dual 2.67 GHz One Conroe
    $1999 - Quad 2.67 GHz One Kentsfield
    $2499 - Quad 3.2 GHz One Kentsfield
$3499 or more for Mac OctoPod Fastest On EARTH - 8 x 3.2 GHz
Two Clovertown later One Yorkfield for less money.

I found that word "OctoPod" in my Tiger's Oxford Dictionary. It's a REAL word.

When they get to 8 via a Yorkfield then the whole line can be based on the less expensive desktop family motherboards and chipsets except the extreeme top where pairs of Harpertown will make 16 etc etc.

You fill in the specs. I can't remember what speeds are being offered. This is all just a wild guestimate for discussion purposes. Please don't flame me.

If your know what your doing, then Media Management should be as easy as pie. Now do you have something specific that irks you about FCP? For starters I instruct at a local college in the evenings. I first burn it in my students heads that they need to use an separate drive for this app.

OMG, have you heard? Apple is secretly spying on our TXT messages, contacts, and e-mail! Seriously! If someone stole my iPhone and guessed my passcode they would be able to look through this list of "contacts" and find out where I lived. They could even check my calendar and know when I'm not home and come rob me. Even if I put fake info in my contacts they can still see my e-mails! All they have to do is look through my e-mails and find a receipt, or shipping notice, or the bill for the power, or my cellphone bill, or my water bill and they would have my home address!

My bets are that it will be either with Nokia or with HTC.

Nokia make the best phone interfaces in the world, which is a very Apple-like thing to do. They're also very experienced at phone hardware desigh and integrating it smoothly with the interface.

HTC are a taiwan company that design and make the best phone hardware in the world, and then sell them to companies like O2, T-Mobile etc to put their brand on. Most HTC-built phones run Windows Mobile, which Apple may be interested in replaceing with OSX Mobile...

I can quite easily see Apple commisisoning HTC to make a Apple phone, these people are simply the best at hardware phone design and manufacture.

Someone suggested Blackberry, but Blackberry is more geared to corporate use - not a very Apple-like sector - and also are quite heavily dependent on having access to a Windows server to get the most out of your phone.

Overall, I feel it will be HTC and OSX Mobile...

I'll second the HTC vote. The Cingular 8125 (an HTC PDA phone) is an awesome design and a well-built phone. I'd love it if it wasn't Windows Mobile.

You could say the same thing about Apple though. The Apple fad will go away and the extremely closed ecosystem which seems to not be really developing much in terms of UI or having an actual roadmap could end iOS.

I don't understand why people can't just see the pros and cons of both and accept both are great platforms. Its always a WAR with Apple fans. Apple against EVERYONE!

I have to disagree with you. The Apple come back isn't a fad. It's a product of good engineering and great marketing. Apple makes good equipment, so does Motorola and the such. However it's the combine EcoSystem that ties it all together. I admit, once you jump in the Apple lake, it make sense to keep swimming in that water since most things don't interoperate very well. So if you buy Apple products and accessories you can bet they will work perfect together.

The arguement that it's a closed system is getting long in the tooth. Toyota is a closed system. What if you want Nissan seats in your Toyota truck, they probably won't fit and if they do, will probably void your warranty. Toyota sells a TON of cars because people like them and they are built great. Same thing can be said about Apple. Yes they are a closed EcoSystem, but it has proved to be a good thing when it comes to the customer experience and revenue for Apple.

What reason can someone give for me to trade that off and go with an "Open" system? I don't need the stuff on my handset that isn't allowed. Yes Free Tethering would be nice, but that wasn't Apples decision, AT&T prevented it. I unlocked my phone so I could get the MIFI app from Cydia and it worked ok but when I tried to VPN into my work it failed. When the next update came out for the iPhone I reverted back to a locked phone and I'm happy. 20.00 down the drain.

The bottom line is, most people want a system that provides them with what they NEED and a lot of what they want. That it is what Apple is trying to do. They do it on multiple fronts, Movies, Music, Apps, and Hardware. It's the combine system that no one can touch, not even come close to. If M$ would just start making their own PC's, buy Dell, HP, Levono, etc and get on board with Hardware and Software combined system, they would go much farther and be more competitive against this comeback from Apple.

So when it comes down to it, all great things exist in a closed system. Cars exist in a closed system, the Roads they drive on are like the Internet. We buy cars because the company who makes them, makes the complete car and stands behind their creation. Not just the Motor, or Seats or Rims and Tires.

top heavy is just idiotic.Case designers aren't perfect, but they aren't idiots either. Some PCs have power supplies on top, despite the top heaviness and the extra path for the power cable. What's the reason? There must be some tradeoff involved or they'd never build them that way.

We also shouldn't feel good just because Dell also does not handle it too well. After all, Dell has more batteries to replace and has a shorter period of time for preparations. Supposingly, Dell provides bargain PCs, while Apple tends to charge a premium for their products. Can't Apple customers deserve better services? Shouldn't Apple be better? Should we all lower our expectations from Apple and ask for a cheaper price instead?
Dell is also a larger company with a larger customer service department and a larger distribution network, which is designed for factory direct to home shipping, so it should have less trouble than Apple with this recall.

With respect to Dell providing bargain PCs, Robert Weston (Associated Press) (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060823/ap_on_hi_te/tech_test_mac_pro_3) and Yuval Kossovsky (Computerworld) (http://www.computerworld.com/action/article.do?command=viewArticleBasic&articleId=9002545&source=NLT_MAC&nlid=62) have recently concluded that Apple, not Dell, offers the best current bargain PCs (at least for their specs).

I respectfully disagree. I say take it back and be ready for a much faster iMac Core 2 Duo. You want the latest, take it back. It won't be the latest for many more weeks. Core 2 Duo will be the latest for two more years.

I appreciate the thoughts on my quandry whether or not to return my 20 " iMac and purchase after the WWDC. Of course my decision is not any easier with one vote for and one vote against.

Thanks Grokgod and Multimedia for the thoughts...

    ++, finally!

I'm hoping they sell it on the App store. I prefer the licensing management and model on there. (Although 50GB might be a problem!!)

It looks pretty good! The extra room would allow for the 3.5" HDD and a dedicated GPU--making it a "true" media center.

Not to nitpick, but maybe it would only have to be 1.5x wider rather than 2x wide. Either way, I think it's pretty cool. Thanks! ;)

I think that the bigger issue with Dan=='s design (full credit and kudos for the idea!) is that the Mac Mini is so small that it only uses laptop components. If you want to have a full-size optical drive or a full-size hard drive, you need to use a larger form factor. This is part of the reason for the size of my design.

Here's a comparison in sizes (I've also changed the floor because my wife thought that the reflection was confusing...)

Seaman Staines (added to the team only to provide Murdock-style comedy value at the end of each scene).

I'm shocked you have forgotten Colonel Panic, who has been known to stop computers dead with his amazing multi-lingual skills.

MyPhotoAlbum looks good, free, decent interface and access to full rez pictures. Only problems is that you can't use it to host images and it doesn't have any Mac upload tools so that is a bit slower. I can deal with the slow uploading and maybe I could use a free flickr account to host images to put directly in my blog. Not a big fan of mixing and matching but if I want to go the free rout I doubt I have a choice.

Thanks for the recommendations so far.

I'm an Android guy but I bought an iPad 2. Since I didn't know much of the app store, I bought an app for $9.99 with my mom's credit card (it's on her account). but i wanted to use my 25 dollar gift card, i didn't know you were supposed to redeem it first -___-.

i sent an email reporting it saying it was a mistake. do you think they will revert it or does apple have a no return policy?

Yes, this is most disapointing. I have been wanting this app on my iPad ever since I got one. This is even more glaring since you can't even access Apple's own MobileMe site from the iPad - which is another rant entirely.

thanks for the thread link. i have seen the apple page, and need more info, as it only lists achievements rather than talks about them. thanks again.
What are you talking about? The first link gives an overview. The last link goes into great technical detail. You have to click the links and read more than just the first page.

The quotes in the article don't even imply the guy said AMOLED screens are better, only that there is only 3-5% less visible difference (using some of that creative math since the actual difference he states is 20%) between the AMOLED screens and Apple's new screen.

Even then it conveniently ignores the fact that AMOLED screens are completely useless outside.

In any case it's a weak and completely ineffectual attempt at muckraking.

Samsung's new "Super" AMOLED are actually somewhat visible outside. They are an improvement in that respect. Besides that, it will have inferior color reproduction and (IMO) over-saturated colors.

off hand i'm going to say, what's the point of getting a white iphone if you're going to put a case on it?

all though, a black bumper on a white phone looks pretty cool.

    Image (http://www.gadgetsnews.co.uk/images/bumper%20black.jpg)

Well even if you use a full body case you're still going to be seeing the white front. Cases never really hide the front of the phone, which is the only part you're looking at anyway.

Back when the iP4 was first released last year and we all thought it would be a short wait for the white version (or initially that it would be on time) I was a huge fan of the bright orange bumper. I went ahead and bought the black one last July or whatever, so now I'm going to buy a white back plate to put on... but I'm leaving mine naked. I like the style of the phone way too much to put a case on now that I've had it this long and am no longer like ZOMG DO NOT TOUCH PHONE! Must keep mint condition!

It seems so easy doesn't it? Just eight lessons in all then one becomes a concert pianist. I don't think so... my fingers have a mind of their own with the pinkie and index being the most recalcitrant... and that's my right hand! Occurs to me that finger exercises have to be mastered before beginning lesson two (perhaps some time next year). Nice idea though - so how does one begin to learn?

In all honesty I think that's a bit harsh. Anyone who uses memcpy a lot should know what it returns (if you don't and just ignore the returned value then you don't know what you are returning which I think is very bad practice).

Except that in the case of memcpy, there is only one possible return value which it always returns.

This case is a bit different though as checking the return value would find out if malloc failed earlier, but it doesn't matter either because if malloc fails, memcpy will copy memory to NULL and the program will crash.

I bought this immediately once I saw the sale price. I love djay on my MacBook, but I didn't want to spend $5 on the iPhone version, so I kept holding out for a sale. Thanks to Algoriddim.

Is there any way I could delete the windows partition and have another shot at installing it?
And is it best to download the support software, instead of relying on the disc?
