In one of her earliest scenes on The Only Way Is Essex, Chloe Sims revealed she is a single mother.
And Chloe knows better than most what it is like to be a child growing up with a single parent because when she was just three years’ old her mother walked out.

Chloe Sims has revealed how she was abandoned by her mother when she was just three years old
The promotions girl was raised by her father in Romford, Essex, and she doesn’t even remember the woman who brought her into this world.
Chloe told Reveal magazine: ‘I might have walked past her in the street before, and I could have brothers and sisters I don’t know about. All I know is she didn’t want to be my mum so she left.’
She added: ‘It’s a weird feeling knowing that I have a mum but not knowing who she is.’

Chloe Sims, seen here with her cousin Joey Essex, has found fame as part of the cast on The Only Way Is Essex but was shocked by the reaction of some viewers to her appearance
While she had a happy childhood her early teenage years were traumatic and Chloe was the victim of bullies who made fun of the way she looked.
She told the magazine: ‘I was called an alien and a stick insect. A group of girls told me I looked like I had Downs syndrome and were always threatening to beat me up.’
She says one boy even tried to set fire to her hair. But when Chloe was just 15 she won a modelling competition which not only gave her confidence but also stopped the bullying.
However, the mother-of-one is still not entirely comfortable in her own skin, and her insecurities have been heightened by nasty comments made by some viewers following her appearance on TOWIE.

She said: ‘I was expecting some hurtful comments after the first episode but nothing could prepare me for the thousands of people saying horrible things about the bits I feel most self-conscious about. It did make me cry.’
Chloe, who is currently single, also revealed how it was only after the birth of her daughter at the age of 23 that she began to turn to cosmetic enhancement.
But she says she doesn’t look much different to how she was as a 15-year-old teenager.
The reality star has undergone a breast augmentation taking her from a 34B to a 34DD, had Botox in her forehead and had her teeth whitened.
But she does regret having lip filler injections and said: ‘I only had fillers because I thought I was getting lines like my nan around her mouth. I realise it was a mistake, though, and won’t be doing it again.’
Her mouth is one of the areas that she feels the most insecure about and she said: ‘I haven’t felt happy with my teeth or my mouth my whole life, but I refused to wear braces when I was a teen in case I was bullied more.’
